New commission 

"Light in the seeds" is Brian's composition commissioned by MAAM, inspired by Joana Vasconcelos' artwork "Valkyrie Mumbet". The music builds on the legacy of Elizabeth “Mumbet” Freeman, the first African-American woman to file and win a freedom lawsuit in Massachusetts.
